Come and Get it from Finian's Rainbow, lyrics by E.Y.Harburg

On that great come and get it day,
Won't it be fun when worry is done and money is hay.
That's the time things'll come your way
On that great, great come and get it day.
I'll get my gal that calico gown.
I'll get my mule that acre of groun'
'Cause word has come from Gabriel's horn
The earth beneath your plow is a-buddin'
And now it's yourn.
Glory time's comin' for to stay
On that great, great come and get it day.

On that great come and get it day,
Won't it be fun when worry is done and money is hay.
That's the time things'll com your way
On that great, great come and get it day.
My gown will be a calico gown.
My shoes will dance all over the town.
'Cause word has come from Gabriel's horn
The earth beneath your plow is a-buddin'
And now it's yourn.
Glory time's comin' for to stay
On that great, great come and get it
And keep it and share it, great, great
I'll get my gal that calico gown.
I'll get my mule that acre of groun'
'Cause words has come from Gabriel's horn
The earth beneath your plow is a-buddin'
And now it's yourn.
Glory time's comin' for to stay
"Come and get it" day.

I meant to write earlier and congratulate you on your new blog. I am currently in southern California and with only brief Internet connection but I did wish to say 'Hi' and tell you I like the look of your studio.

Warmest regards
Egmont

Why thank you, Egmont, what a nice comment! This, the preceeding, and the next form a little trio of blogs, especially if read top to bottom.
I tried to become a follower of your blog, but my computer was playing tricks on me. I'll try again, your blog is beautiful; it is as you know linked to on the right.

Hi Chandra,
As you see I have returned to have a more extensive look and speaking of looking, I am hoping that one day we will meet and I can have a chance to see your art up close and maybe even the studio.

Warmest regards,
Egmont

PS: I added your blog to The DIRECTORY.

Yes, I see that you have returned to explore. I appreciate all of your comments. Your own work and blogs are a testament to your ability to perceive and critically assess, so I am especially honored. Yes, let's find a way toward the Spring to meet at my studio, which you will find somewhat darker and very much more crowded than these wonderfully gallery-like internet pages. But no matter! It will have the advantage of being real, not cyber space.
